Nicolas has arrived safe and sound. He is fitting in just as one of our own. Johnathon will take good care of him in school — they’ve hit it off quite well. We are very impressed with his knowledge of America and his ability to speak English quite well. We really are enjoying having him in our home and will take good care of him. I don’t know if I’d have the courage to let my child go for a whole year — you’re quite brave and so is he. I think he was a little nervous when he first got here but we are very easy going and like to joke around a bit so I think he feels a bit more comfortable. I think we will have a wonderful year with him. Thank you for sharing him with us, this is a wonderful opportunity for us as well. Nicolas is doing wonderful here –he’s been a very nice addition to our family, I’m sure you must miss him so. He is doing quite well and has made many friends (especially with the females). The girls are in love with him! The school has an annual dance, called Homecoming and he has already asked a very nice girl to the dance. I met with his teachers last week and they are also very fond of him. He has a very good nature. He’s been training twice a week at the school for Basketball and I think he’s enjoying it quite a bit. Rusty has been teaching him about American Football, he seems to be fascinated by this sport which is quite popular here. Last week end we attended a parade on Sunday and he went to a BonFire. On Monday we took him to Chicago to see some of the sites. Chicago is a beautiful city. Anytime you would like to come for a visit we would be honored to host you, you are welcome in our home and would love to have you as our guest. We are trying to show him as much as we can while he is here. It’s hard because we do not have time to travel with school and work during the week. We’d like to be able to show him more of the country. During spring break around Easter in april we may take him somewhere. We are still discussing options.
